Who We Are
Meridian Digital LLC ("Meridian," "we," "us") operates the Meridian SEO platform at bymeridian.com. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
What Data We Collect
We collect only what we need to run the platform and deliver results for you:
- Account information — name, email address, and hashed password when you register.
- Site URLs — the website domains you add to your account for SEO monitoring.
- Google Search Console & Analytics data — search queries, impressions, clicks, rankings, and analytics data accessed through Google OAuth on your behalf.
- Usage data — pages you visit within the app, features you use, and actions you take (approvals, rejections, etc.).
- Billing information — payment details are collected and processed directly by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer ID and subscription status but never your card number.
How We Use Your Data
- Running AI agents — your site and search data is sent to our AI services to generate audits, content drafts, keyword strategies, and link-building recommendations.
- Improving the service — we use aggregate, anonymized usage data to improve platform features and agent performance.
- Communication — we send transactional emails (reports, alerts, account updates). You can adjust notification preferences in your account settings.
Third-Party Services
We share data with these services only as needed to operate the platform:
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription management.
- Google APIs — Google Search Console and Google Analytics data retrieval via OAuth.
- Anthropic — AI language model for content generation, audits, and analysis.
- OpenAI — embedding models for knowledge base and semantic search features.
- Resend — transactional email delivery.
We do not sell your data to anyone. We do not share your data with advertisers.
Data Retention
We retain your account data and SEO data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, we keep your data for 30 days so you can reactivate without losing anything. After 30 days, your data is permanently deleted from our systems.
Anonymized, aggregate analytics data may be retained indefinitely for service improvement purposes.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of all data we hold about you.
- Delete — request permanent deletion of your account and all associated data.
- Export — download your SEO data, reports, and content drafts at any time from your dashboard.
- Correct — update your account information through your settings page.

Cookies
We use cookies strictly for authentication. When you log in, we set a secure, HTTP-only cookie containing your session token. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party cookie-based analytics.
Security
We take the security of your data seriously:
- All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encryption.
- Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and never stored in plain text.
- OAuth tokens for Google services are encrypted at rest.
- Database access is restricted to application services only.
Changes to This Policy
If we make significant changes to this policy, we will notify you by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Minor clarifications may be made without notice.
